So, as you know…. I am doing that master cleanse thing out of curiousity and to support my friend, Shay.
This morning, I was not happy. I had to drink a quart of warm salt water and pretend it was soup. It actually wasn’t that bad. I only felt nauseous once. But then trying falling asleep in your salt water breakfast at your fucking office job. Try it.
Then, I found this particular topic online. Smoking & The Master Cleanse. It’s like a serious thing though. Here’s some commentary:
Lady poses a question about smoking on the master cleanse. 2-4 you can skip. Just people saying to keep the master plan cleanse pure. Poster #5 is the first honest person. And it’s funny, that although I’ve felt weak already, and I think I’d just rather have only water for three days than to have to injest this vile lemon/syrup/red pepper concoction…. I have experienced an increased ability to “feel.” Which, #5 describes pretty accurately, albeit, this person does sound quite zany.
Then, #5 gets sadistic. “I have gone out to dinner with friends 5 or 6 times during this cleanse, to fantastic restaurants. What I do is smell as much of their food as possible. The smelling fills me up. It is just as satisfying as eating. That and feeling them enjoy their food.” I’m shaking my head at the thought. But then! the office fills with the smells of someone’s leftover lasagna and my cube-mate’s amazing-looking onion rings.
Then comes the philisophical debate. #6 &7 are “purists.” #5 comes back in to justify, and ends up turning it into a philisophical debate of religious analogous. Poster #9 is a baller. He is doing his MC for good reasons, I suppose if there are any: 1 - empty out the system
Soooo… Basically as long as you aren’t digesting solids you are doing what you need to.
2 - purge body of mucoid plaque
3 - reset the body and get it in a healthy mode
4 - harmonise mind and body, develop the ability to control the body’s urges
5 - free youself from the mindset of eating 3 square meals a day. eat when you need to eat.#10 is just plain sassy. I’m not going to let you know how funny it is. See for yourself.
